14A - Halfway Reflection

1. In order to keep up with the requirements of this course, I have had to make sure I set aside an ample amount of time each week to complete all of the assignments. It is important to not wait until the last minute to complete assignments because everything usually takes longer than expected to complete.
2. A time when I felt like giving up was when I waited until 10:00 am on the due date to do my elevator pitch. I was really busy the night before so I didn’t have time to complete in until the morning. Little did I know, a short video recording would take a really long to complete. I ended up having to record like 20 different times in order to get the perfect video and I barely finished on time.
3. Three tips that I would offer next semester’s students are to make sure to go to the lectures or watch them online, don’t procrastinate, and take the assignments seriously. If you don’t go to the lectures or watch them online, you will fail the weekly quizzes. If you procrastinate, you might wait until Friday morning to do the assignments and then you might not finish in time. If you don’t take the assignments seriously, you won’t get anything out of the class. It’s as simple as that.

  1. Tyler,
This is a great reflection! It definitely takes a few close calls to the deadlines to understand that it is really easy to fall behind. Personally, I do all the assignments a week before they’re due; for the ones that involve interviews or recordings, this gives me ample amount of time to complete them! That being said, you’ve yet to miss a post so I think you’re doing well as well. Keep up the good work!
